172. Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zaforn
This is beautifully written, but until I got used to the flow, I wasn’t enjoying it as much. This is a very high four star for me.

173. The Hostile Hospital by Lemony Snicket
I’m a little less optimistic about the remainder of the series after this book; I feel like we get one step forward, two steps back and the same formula for the story returned, but I’ll see this through until the end.

174. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
I’m a literal and physical ball of emotions about this book and this duology right now.
Rating: 5/5 stars
Read: September 29-October 2, 2016
175. Winter by Marissa Meyer
I realized my love for this series lies with the characters more than the plot, but that’s fine because I still read this book in two days.
Rating: 4/5 stars.

176. The Carnivorous Carnival by Lemony Snicket
I liked the cliff hanger ending of this one…otherwise, I wasn’t feeling it as much as the previous two, but I’m really looking forward to the next book.

177. The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket
I like learning new things, but more mysteries.

178. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Look what I finally read! I think this is my second favorite of her works, but it’s a close race between this and Dark Places.

179. Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
This was my first Sarah Dessen book and I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

180. The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
This the second series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes that I have started and as I am in love with her The Naturals series, I was worried I wasn’t going to like this book. I can definitely say that after reading this, that Jennifer Lynn Barnes can now be accounted as one of my favorite authors because I just love the characters she creates and how her background in psychology plays into her stories.

181. Right of First Refusal by Dahlia Adler
When I finished the first book in this series, I immediately sought out the remaining two and, while my least favorite bits had to deal with her family drama, I definitely enjoyed this as much as i had the previous one.

182. Out on Good Behavior by Dahlia Adler
After finishing the previous book, I wanted to see how it all ended with the final roommate and immediately picked this book up. I really enjoyed all of Samara’s book references and the epilogue to the series.

183. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins
I wish got more with the setting, as it didn’t feel as southern as I was hoping, and less love triangle, especially at the very end when it seemed like it could still go either way. Otherwise, it was quite fun, but I’m not sure if I’ll end up reading books two and three.

184. Eldest by Christopher Paolini
I feel like the slow pace these books have is really brutal when the books themselves are over 500 pages long. But something about dragons keeps me reading.
Rating: 3/5 stars
Read: October 6-11, 2016
185. Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff
It did take awhile to get into this because of how descriptive it is, but the sassy griffon definitely made this book so much better.

186. The Book of Ivy by Amy Engel
I got more than I was expecting out of this and it kinda blew me away, but I can’t commit to five stars for some reason I can’t quite place yet.

187. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
I can see why this series is so beloved. I’m interested in where it is headed, but not in a big hurry to get to book two and that realization is why I am giving it only four stars.

188. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
I had a feeling very early on what was going to happen in this book, but because of how much I loved Madeline and Olly, I’m overlooking it…mostly
